Ingredients

  • 225g self-raising flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 135ml water
  • Spray oil (for cooking)

Method

Step 1: Mix the Dough
Add the self-raising flour and salt to a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle over the vegetable oil, then bring it together with the water to form a soft dough.
Step 2: Knead, Rest, and Roll
Knead the mixture gently until smooth. Cover up the bowl and leave it to rest for about 30 minutes. After resting, divide the dough and roll each portion out until it is roughly 2mm thick.
Step 3: Fry and Serve
Get a clean pan smoking hot and give it a light spray of oil. Fry each flatbread until cooked through with nice color on both sides, then serve immediately.
