Fillet Steak Spaghetti
2 fillet steaks
1 shot of brandy
Salt
Pepper
1 onion
3 garlic cloves
2 tsp oil
1 red chilli
1 bowl mushrooms
1/2 glass white wine
100g cream
Pinch of sugar
100g tender stem broccoli
Bunch of fresh parsley
240g pasta
1. Add the steaks to a bowl. Pour over the brandy and season with salt and pepper. Leave at room temperature
2. Put a pan of water on to boil for the spaghetti. Chop the onion and garlic. Add to pan with the oil, cook till softened. Chop the chilli and add to the pan, cook for 2 mins.
3. Chop the mushrooms. Add the white wine and mushrooms to the pan.
4. Put the spaghetti into the boiling water. Add the cream to the frying pan. Season with salt, pepper and sugar. Cook for 5 mins before adding the parsley.
5. Add the broccoli to the pasta.
6. Heat a frying pan on a high heat. Add the steaks and cook for 2 mins on either side to sear them. Turn the heat to medium low and cook for 2 mins each side.
7. Leave the steaks to rest while plating the pasta and cream sauce. Finely slice the steak into thin strips. Add them to plate along with any meat juices. Serve with garlic bread.
