Boiled Rice - Two Alternatives
This recipe covers two different methods of achieving tasty, non-sticky rice. Boiled rice goes well with spicy or strong flavoured dishes and compliments those flavours. Toasted rice introduces a nutty flavour to the rice itself which compliments many dishes. Both methods are simple to make and produce consistent results.

2. Add to the pan with the cold water.
3. Bring to the boil on a high heat.
4. As soon as the water begins to boil, turn the heat to low and add the lid to pan. Set a timer for 12 mins.
5. After 12 minutes, turn off the heat. Leave to rest with the lid on for 10 minutes. Serve.
For the toasted rice
