Beef Koftas 

These are very easy to make and are full of flavour. They are gluten and dairy free.

Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time - 20 minutes

Ingredients (serves 4)

500g beef mince
1 small onion
1 egg
1/2 tsp mustard reeds
1/2 tsp coriander seeds
6 whole peppercorns
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
2 dried chillies
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp cornflour
lettuce
coleslaw
tomato
French fries
gluten free wraps


To cook


1. Add the mince to a mixing bowl with the egg and grated onion.

2. In a dry frying pan, toast the mustard, coriander and cumin seeds with the peppercorns and dried chillies.

3. Grind the spices into a powder using a pestle and mortar.

4. Add the spices to the mince along with the paprika, cornflour and salt.

5. Mix the mince into kofta shapes on skewers. Place on a lightly oiled baking tray and cook at 180c for 20 mins.

6. Serve with a lettuce, tomato and coleslaw salad, along with fries and a wrap.
