Green Tomatillo Salsa
This easy to make salsa has a very authentic fresh Mexican flavour due to the green tomatillos. It goes well with lots of Mexican dishes and can be eaten fresh or stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator for later use.
Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time - 5 minutes
Ingredients
800g tin of green tomatillos
1/2 onion
2 garlic cloves
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp oregano
1 dried arbol chilli
1 fresh red chilli
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cider vinegar
fresh coriander
To cook
1. Add the tomatillos, garlic, chillies, onion, cumin, oregano, salt, vinegar and coriander to a mixing jug.
2. Blend the ingredients till smooth.
3. Heat the sauce in a pan and either serve immediately or store in an airtight container.
