Lentil Curry
A mildly spiced curry that is suitable for kids.Preparation time - 20 mins
Cooking time - 30 mins
Ingredients (serves 5)
200g lentils
1 onion
1 inch garlic
1 inch ginger
250ml passata
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp paprika
1 tbsp tandoori masala
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp salt
4 tsp sugar
2 tbsp tomato sauce
1. Rinse the lentils and boil for 15 mins.
2. Chop the onion and fry for 5 mins, before adding the garlic and ginger for 2.mins.
3. Add the passata.
4. Add the lentils and blend until smooth.
5. Add the turmeric, paprika, tandoori masala, cumin, salt, sugar and tomato sauce.
