Roasted Pepper Sauce
Great for adding to pasta dishes. Also great as a cold dipping sauce.Preparation time - 5 mins
Cooking time - 35 mins
Ingredients (serves 5)
3 peppers
1 tbsp oil
250ml passata
3 cloves garlic
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp sugar
6 Basil leaves
1. Roughly chop the peppers. Roast in a 180°oven for 30 min.
2. Chop the garlic and fry till lightly brown.
3. Blend the peppers, garlic, passata, salt, black pepper, sugar, smoked paprika, onion powder and basil leaves. Simmer for 5 mins in a pan then serve.
